Safety first
A tree or limb touching a wire: stay away from it and anything it's touching. Call 911 or your electric company. Don't move it yourself.
Before anything moves
- Photograph the tree, where it fell, and any damage.
- If it hit the house, a car or a fence, call your insurer and ask what they need before cleanup.
Did it come from the roadside?
It may have been a town tree. Call the tree warden or public works. Whose tree is it?
